How to get there
The wedding ceremony and the reception are at two different venues. Below are details on how to get there and telephone numbers of some local taxi firms.
Getting to the ceremony
All Saints' Church is located on Church Lane, Stanhoe PE31 8QL where there is VERY limited roadside parking. We have however been lucky enough to be allowed to use a small field that is directly opposite the Church for additional car parking. The parking will be clearly signposted. Please show consideration for the owners who have kindly offered us this facility. We recommend that you consider driving (or car sharing) to the Church and to the reception in your own cars due to the lack of taxis in our area.
Getting to the reception
The Old Rectory, Bagthorpe is 2 1/2 miles away from the church. The postcode is PE31 6RA
The easiest route is to go south down Church Lane and go straight over on to Barwick Road. After 1 1/2 miles you reach B1454. Go straight over (signed Bagthorpe). After 1/2 mile you will find parking in a field on the left, just before you reach the house. It will be clearly signposted. There will be plenty of parking available in the field where cars can be left overnight for collection on the next day.
It might be a good idea to bring wellies in the event of wet weather...!
Taxis
If you need a taxi either to get to the Church or at the end of the evening we strongly reccommend you book this well in advance given the rural area we are in. Taxis do get booked up early over the summer holidays. Also telephone reception is poor in the area so we suggest you pre-book taxis before arriving in Norfolk.
It will be possible to leave your car in the field next to The Old Rectory overnight, to collect the following day at your convenience. Below are a list of some local taxi companies:
